This blog is dedicated to Jesse and Tori's Monday evening section of Principles of Experience Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Winter 2008.
Hey Banafsheh, I liked your prototype. The colour game reminds me of something that can be used as a tool for learning about colours. I think it would appeal to most of the personas, but especially students in art. I think when the final game is made it would be a lot more challenging because you would have more pieces to play with and the game would last much longer.
The only thing i did not like about your game was that i had to read how to play before i played it. I understand it is necessary but maybe if it was bigger font and point form and even easier to understand.
Once I understood the concept of the game it was very fun and enjoyable. I was eager to continue to match the colors and figure out which colors mix and so on. It seems easy at first but is plesantly challanging as you go along!
Also, it would be great if there were more pieces so that the game isn't over so fast!!
the instructions on this game i found confusing. and maybe i didn't give it the time it deserved but i wasn't really able to place that many colours beside each other with out running into the same ajoining colors but then again that might be the challenging part. better instructions and possibly bigger pieces are my 2 suggestions
Its a great game visually as well as challanging, and it provide socio-pleasure because players will be playing together, most likely sitting around it and infront each other. Mentely its nice because you have to thing, yet not too complex to apply rules from similar games.
Someone else mention and I agree, the instruction can be easier. Drawing can be a good idea because unlike my game the moves are simple and short and the symbels are iconic and fun too look at, rather then reading.
The instruction was not clear. i tried to read it but it was too much and i got sooooo confused..i guess it just me actually i like to see images i think you should draw and add text with bigger font. it'll be great then...But other wise your concept it good very nice
