Exercise 9 - Allison Lawson

Narrative 1
Everyone in my family works as an officer. I was going through to be a cop when the car accident busted my sodding knee up. Now I work security. I hate it really. There's no challenge in it. I mean, what are these stupid little sods thinking when they steal from this store. That they won't get caught? They will. If I'm on the job, they will.

Narrative 2

I wash my hands ten times a day. I always recheck the locks on the door and my windows in my flat five times before going to bed. I collect things. Anything really. Today I bought some things. Things I might not have a use for, but I need them. I don't want the four toy cars. I don't really like tea, especially mint. Two kinds of rice. I'm not going to use any of this, except the crackers I bought. They sooth my ulcer. Really though, most of what I put in my shopping cart just felt right. I knew I needed to own these things.

I was also hoping that buying these items would draw attention away from the six tubes of mascara I shoved in my purse, the four car air fresheners I hid in my back pocket, and the two cans of cat food I shoved down my pants. Unfortunately it didn't. Shortly after I was cashed through, I saw him coming. He was in uniform with his handcuffs hanging from his belt. I knew this day would come, but I wasn't expecting it to come today.

Sometimes we have to make quick decisions in life and I decided on running. Why they make pull doors with a push bar, I'll never know. Maybe it's to stop the people like me. Mistakes like this are always worse when you make them at high speed. I could feel the blood running down my face and everyone was staring at me because I was bleeding and lying on the floor. I think I may have broken my nose. I need to wash my hands.

Somehow I managed to mix up exercise nine with receipt nine. I was supposed to do receipt twelve. Too late now! I'm not the only one who made this mistake! Atleast all our responses are completely different. Ooooops! :P
