Project Three - Description Paragraph

Our experience is meant to be fun, social, interactive. The concept is to create an atmosphere where people are represented without identity. Participants enter a room in which they put on a suit. On the suit is the figure of a human-sized stick man in glowing lights. After the suit is on the participant can go into the next section of the room which is completely dark and has music playing. The participant looses their individual identity as they become merely a glowing stick figure surrounded by other stick figures. This feeling of anonymity allows a freedom of the participants inhibitions; they may feel free to dance like an idiot, dance how they've always wanted to, or merely make their newfound stick figure identity do silly or funny things without fear of embarrassment. The dark room will have a camera sending a live feed of the stick figures to a projector in an open area of the school. Students viewing the projected video will see only the stick figures moving around in the dark and will be intrigued to see what is going on for themselves. After the participant is finished they leave the dark room and take the suit off in the 'threshold' room run by one or two students.

In writing this I realized i had some unanswered questions. Will the camera be hidden or in plain view? How do we limit the amount of time each participant is in the room? Do we assume they will just get sick of it after a few minutes?

Personally, I don't think you need to control access. People will leave after a while. You might consider letting a certain number of people into the staging area periodically so that the line moves forward a bit.

I wouldn't bother hiding the camera.

Have we decided where the projection will take place? And how bright it will be? I feel like projecting from the Cafe onto the coro-plast might work best, as it keeps the cable distance down, and we can presumably darken the cafe. I do need to know this ASAP so that I can co-ordinate with the other instructors.

Thanks for the description, Adam.

Hey Adam!
Written beautifly! Had nothing to add...
We decided not to limit the time, we believe ppl will leave by them self. I think the camera don't need to be hiden, but since its in the dark ppl won't see it.
